Nice clean, warm room. All appliances were in working order, the view from our bedroom window was of grass, bushes and trees. The Travelodge was situated in a quiet location beneath a eatery where you can have an evening meal.

A very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel was clean, warm and comfortable and very dog friendly. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. It is positioned close to the motorway networks and several supermarkets.

Hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in… from the moment we checked in 8am we were met with hostility and extremely rude condescending behaviour “what time you call this, why’re you just checking in now?!… bit late aren’t ya!” We’ve just finished a 12 hour night shift that’s why you numpty. Then we were told they was fully booked and had no other rooms available, we had to stay in the disabled room, with no shower, a door that didn’t lock, a toilet covered in safety bars and cushions… with panic buttons and strings everywhere and we was ordered very aggressively not to touch them. As we arrived we noticed a strong smell of cannabis as the other reviews has also mentioned. We managed to get to sleep but was unfortunately woken to a loud bang from the manager accusing us of the smell… I explained it stunk already when we arrived and it was definitely not us… she began to raise her voice and ordered us to leave the hotel, called our work made false accusations which actually cost us 7 nights work in Chorley. That female manager is an actual genuinely horrible vile human being, absolute liar… if you’re reading this I hope you feel so ashamed of your pathetic behaviour, you deserve to be sacked for your actions.

Stayed overnight in the travel lodge and was very impressed with the friendly welcome we received. This travel lodge was pet friendly, and our dog was made welcome and given treats, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The staff member on duty was very understanding of our dog's anxieties and very supportive with her. Agree with some of the reviews that it needs a little spruce up, but that is the responsibility of the owners and not the staff who work hard to keep the establishment running on a daily basis. Will definitely stay again. Rooms: Stayed in room 16, which was clean and tidy. Found the room to be spacious and compliment tray had the usual tea coffee etc. Bed linen was fresh smelling and towels freshly launder. Safety catches on windows, which was good to see. Food & drinks: Would recommend the restaurant next door for food and drinks. Noteworthy details: We have stayed in many travel lodges, but the staff team here deserves a mention as they were very attentive and supportive of your needs.

What a great little hotel. I made an error with my booking but this was rectified quickly. Everyone was so friendly and helped me with my bags and with directions in the local area. The hotel is dated but very clean, quiet, welcoming and thank you for the chats! Lots of free parking is a bonus nowadays too!

We had a pleasant stay at Clayton Travelodge. We needed somewhere that would allow us to bring our dog when attending a family event. ||The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely book again.

You know what you're getting with a Travelodge. Very comfy beds, nice & warm and quiet location. Also excellent value for money. Only one thing - I always think the lighting could be better as it's a bit dull and depressing. Pub/restaurant next door which we didn't have time to use.
